Liverpool defender Nat Phillips has joined Stuttgart on a season-long loan deal after signing a new long-term contract at Anfield.
Phillips will join a Stuttgart side playing in Bundesliga 2 this term, having been relegated from Germany’s top flight last season.
The 22-year-old is yet to make a first team appearance for the Reds but was part of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States last month.

An ankle injury saw him miss most of last season but Jurgen Klopp remains a fan of the centre-back, who is captain of the club’s Under-23 side.
Phillips came through Bolton Wanderers’ academy before joining Liverpool shortly before the start of the 2016-17 season.
He is one of several young talents at Anfield who will spend next season on loan, with Harry Wilson signing a 12-month loan deal at Bournemouth earlier this week.
Winger Sheyi Ojo has joined Rangers on a deal until the end of next season, while Ben Woodburn is out on loan at League One side Oxford United.
