Real Madrid ‘furious with Villarreal’s management of loanee Takefusa Kubo’ after playing just 55 minutes in FIVE matches this season… after he opted for La Liga side despite interest from Bayern, AC Milan, Sevilla and Ajax
- Real Madrid starlet Takefusa Kubo was a man in plenty of demand this summer
- Japanese winger had attracted interest from Bayern, AC Milan, Sevilla and Co
- However, he was convinced Villarreal represented the best project for him
- But he has only played 55 minutes so far in five La Liga matches this season
Real Madrid are reportedly furious with Villarreal for using Japanese starlet Takefusa Kubo sparingly during the opening stages of the La Liga campaign.
Kubo joined Villarreal on loan this summer from Madrid after he was convinced that the Spanish outfit was the best project for his development following a call from the club, and in particular manager Unai Emery.
Kubo certainly didn’t have a shortage of suitors this summer – with the likes of Bayern Munich, Ajax, AC Milan, Sevilla, Getafe, Real Betis and Granada all interested in his signature.

And Madrid may now be regretting the decision to let the 19-year-old winger move to Villarreal on loan after being left angry with how their La Liga rivals are using him this season – according to Cadena Ser.
Kubo has only played 55 minutes for Emery’s side this season in five La Liga matches and the youngster reportedly feels disillusioned about his time at Villarreal.
Madrid are expecting Kubo’s situation to change soon but if he continues to be left on the bench, Zinedine Zidane’s side could be forced to intervene in January.

Emery, who was sacked by Arsenal in November 2019, has picked up a reputation of prioritising defensive stability over attack.
And Emery’s philosophy will not suit Kubo, a young and exciting prospect that thrives in attack.
European giants Madrid will continue to keep a close eye on Kubo’s situation and if nothing changes, they won’t be afraid of cutting his time at Villarreal short.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will be closely monitoring Kubo’s situation at Villarreal
