Chelsea have reportedly switched their focus to trying to bring in Lyon striker Moussa Dembele in the summer transfer window.
The Blues were interested in RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, who has scored 27 goals this season, but Liverpool appear to have edged ahead of Chelsea as far as that deal is concerned.
As reported by The Athletic, Chelsea are now eager to sign Dembele, who has netted 16 times in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this campaign.

Dembele started his senior career with Fulham prior to joining Celtic and subsequently made the switch to Lyon in 2018.
A former France Under-21 international, Dembele, now 23, is highly sought after.
Chelsea are eager to bolster their attacking resources, especially with Olivier Giroud out of contract in the summer.
Tammy Abraham has scored 13 Premier League goals this season but has endured injury problems, so further backup is required, especially with Michy Batshuayi having been unconvincing.
