Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has said he’s reluctant to let Hakimi go on a permanent move
His two-year loan spell at Dortmund ends on June 30, but his future is still uncertain, despite his current contract at Real Madrid running until 2022.
Last month, it was reported that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was impressed with Hakimi’s progress in Germany, and would be unwilling to sanction a permanent move away from the Bernabeu.
The defender has been on loan at their rivals Borussia Dortmund, and has impressed so far
If he were to return to Spain, he would be up against the likes of Dani Carvajal and Odriozola or Nacho for a starting spot, so may prefer a move to the German champions.
He is just 21 and has shown real potential, particularly on the big stage for Dortmund, thriving in the Champions League.
Hakimi has made 26 appearances for them this season, scoring six goals and providing six assists, and has seen his value go up during his loan move.
