  • Lyon are languishing in 12th in Ligue 1 but have excelled in the cups this season
  • They are scheduled to face Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League
  • Moussa Dembele has scored 11 goals for the French side so far this campaign

Juventus have entered the race for Moussa Dembele, with Maurizio Sarri ready to hijack his former club Chelsea’s move for the striker.

The Blues have an interest in the Lyon star as Frank Lampard looks to bolster his attacking options for the second half of the season.

But Juventus, who are involved in a tight title race in Serie A with Inter Milan, are now set to bid for the 23-year-old, according to Calcio Mercato.

Lyon striker Moussa Dembele could soon have a big choice to make over his future

Lyon are due to face Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League and due to new rules in the competition, he would not be cup-tied against them if he did move to Italy.

Lampard is free to spend in January after Chelsea’s transfer ban was on an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Dembele has scored 11 goals in 26 games in all competitions for Lyon, who are in the semi-final of the French League Cup but languishing in 12th in Ligue 1.
